INDIE DP #1: Arctic Monkeys - Whatever People Say I Am, That's What I'm Not

POSSIBLE POINTS OF INFLUENCE:
  • The colour filter
  • Close-ups of objects like cigarettes, could be cans or newspapers
  • I want to avoid the very small size of the track listing
ACT: Arctic Monkeys
FULL TITLE: What Ever People Say I Am, That's What I'm Not
YEAR: 2006
TYPE OF ALBUM: Debut studio album
DESIGN: Juno Liverpool
PHOTOGRAPHY: Alexandra Wolkowicz
                                    Andy Brown
GENRE: Indie rock, garage rock survival
LABEL: Domino

SINGLES:

FRONT COVER

Rule Of Thirds has been observed, right in the centre. Background looks like a curtain. He has some facial hair, connoting some raggedy character traits.

TITLES:
The artist is present, the album name is not.
Font is serif, all lower-case, black on white.
Could connote a serious, but also a run of the mill normality
that the man with the cigarette represents.

BACK COVER

There is a link
The writing is nearly all in white

INSIDE:
...
AUDIENCE

The smoking, just like Brett Anderson on Instagram, could be seen as problematic, critics might argue the hypodermic needle theory, create a moral panic. As this band really had a huge in fluctuation of teen fans that must have been frowned upon

  1. DP?
Dpak1 works much better, it makes some sense!
Your analysis of the font is unconvincing - BUT more concerning is that this seems to be the sum of your digipak research; I again clicked the tag
I find an empty post, http://ricrecords.blogspot.lu/2017/11/digipak-2-bjork-bastards.html

Don't waste time trying to create lots of artful posts where you muse on possible semiotics; put your effort into a single post with a vodcast and explanatory/summative text. We have discussed this specific point, repeatedly, in lessons; I have emphasised how you can save time without compromising on quality or marks. Another example of falling behind. Don't attempt anything else until you get yourself FULLY caught up.
